Kids Ministries
Kids are very important to us at Countryside. All of our workers who are involved in this ministry are required to submit to a background check before they can work with your children.
NURSERIES
We currently offer two nurseries on Sunday Mornings. We have a baby nursery complete with locksafe cribs. This nursery is for newborns through about 15 months. Our other nursery is for toddlers and is for children who are walking through age 3. Our nursery coordinater, Mrs. Janel Wilson, holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and has 4 children of her own.
PRESCHOOL(ages 3-5)
Countryside offers a preschool class for children age 3 - Kindergarten. This class is headed by Mrs. Leslie Collins, a Pre-K paraprofessional with the Effingham County School system. In the Children's Church Hour, Mrs. Alisha Collins, a Day Care Supervisor, heads up our preschool Children's church.
PRIMARY BOYS (ages 6-7 / 1st & 2nd Graders)
This class is taught by Chad and Michele Nichols. Chad is in the Air Force, and Michele homeschools her three children. Michele also sings in the adult choir and Chad assists with ushering and both assist on one of our care teams.
PRIMARY GIRLS (ages 6-7 / 1st and 2nd Graders)
This class is taught by Tonas and Linda Goros. They have been working with children here at Countryside for over ten years. Mrs. Linda homeschooled her granddaughter for many years and has been loved by our children for quite some time. Her and Tonas also head up our Kids Children's Church for 1st through 6th grade.
MIDDLER CLASS (ages 8-10 / 3rd and 4th Graders)
Todd and Alisha Collins do a masterful job teaching this exciting group. This is our only children's class where the boys and girls are together. Todd sings in our choir and our church trio, C3, and Alisha heads our preschool children's church, as well as helping in our church nursery.
JUNIOR BOYS (ages 10-12 / 5th and 6th Graders)
Larry and Jennifer Bukowiec teach this boys class. They have a fun time together learning God's Word. Mr. Larry is a Deacon and sings in our choir. Mrs. Jennifer is a member of our Go Club and assists wherever and whenever needed. She also homeschools their two children.
JUNIOR GIRLS (ages 10-12 / 5th and 6th Graders)
Mrs. Barbara Hargroves, one of our Deacon's wives, has been teaching for many years in our kids ministry. She has taught AWANA, sings in the adult choir, and has a love for the girls that really shows. She is assisted by Ann Galletta.
